7 Email Marketing Automation Tips For Brand Marketers

Key points that I'd add:

1. Get your CRM list in order to segment/personalise your emails - Get all of your contacts onto 1 list, to create segments/groups - add tags/columns in your CSV/xls for each tag/indicator that will give you customer/prospect segments - whether it's "last purchase date", "last login", "type of product ordered", "when/where contact signed up or met you" & schedule targetted emails.

2. Allow your subscribers to tell you how often they want to hear from you. Don't waste your hard efforts in getting contacts to subscribe to you & loose them because you communicate too often. a) you may be surprised that some want to hear from you more often b) although this may mean creating another version of a few emails. You've already writen the content & most email providers like Mailchimp offer "replicate email" functionality, so won't take you long to create a monthly version v a weekly email.
